Jonathan Wickremasinghe-Kuhn’s feature script OFF THE STRIP is in the top 3 in Final Draft’s Big Break Contest!

Marni Ayers is currently co-directing (with Elina de Santos) a youth playwriting program in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica and Rogue Machine Theatre.

Diana Burbano has been selected for the Center Theatre Group’s 2018-2019 Writers Workshop! She has also received a commission from Creede Repertory for their summer KidShow.

Allie Costa recently filmed two different musical projects, one a short film, the other a series. Her play TWO GIRLS will be produced Off-Broadway November 30th through December 8th by The #metoo Plays. In this haunting and poetic duologue, two women (Faith Taylor, Clara Tristan) emerge from a violent attack. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Karen Carpenter.

Kevin Crust was named Deputy Film Editor at the Los Angeles Times, and hopse to get back to playwrighting soon.

Forrest Hartl is teaching theatre courses at the University of Redlands, Cerritos and Coastline College.

Howard Ho is sound designing TheatreWorks Silicon Valley’s production of THE SANTALAND DIARIES which runs from December 5-23 at Foothill College.

Uma Incrocci is producing a staged reading of her holiday screenplay KRIS & NOELLE Sunday Dec 9 at 2pm at the Arena Stage at the Theatre of Arts.

A handful of Jonathan Josephson‘s short plays will be produced at schools across the country during the late fall:  27 WAYS I DIDN’T SAY “HI” TO LAURENCE FISHBURNE at Palo Verde HS Theatre in Las Vegas, NV (Nov. 29) and York College Of PA (Nov. 29-Dec. 1); RUNED at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gil, MA (Dec. 6-8); and CHUBBY BUNNY at Asherville Middle School in Asherville, NC (Dec. 7-8).

The Company of Angels has accepted Mildred Lewis’s  proposal for a new play, THE LAST RIDE, for its 2019 LA Short Play Festival.

Scott Mullen’s play 172 PUSH-UPS, which he wrote for Playground-LA, will be featured in a number of upcoming festivals, including Slam Boston this month, as well as the One-Act Festival at the Elite Theatre in Oxnard, California, at the Barrington Theatre in Massachusetts, and in festivals in Canada, Michigan and Maynard, Massachusetts.

Air Force veteran Melissa Ritz directed an evening of short staged readings for USVAA (United States Veterans Artists Alliance) at The Actor’s Gang in Culver City on Veteran’s Day.
