JOIN PLAYGROUND & SUPPORT 400+ PLAYGROUND ARTISTS!

Dear Friends,

PlayGround has had a busy year. With Monday Night PlayGround programs running in-person and streaming online in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area, we are supporting 400+ writers, directors, actors and stage managers across the country as they create over 140 bold new works for the stage in a supportive community of their peers.

We understand how critical it is to provide regular work for local artists; it’s a chance to regularly refine their skills, and we are committed to paying artists fair, living wages across the country. But we can’t do it without your help. We need your support now, more than ever, to help pay our artists and contribute to a thriving local theatre scene.

I’m a PlayGrounder because I love working with a community of artists who are kind, passionate, and overwhelmingly supportive. It truly is a playground where writers, directors, and actors make theater magic with the focus on the art of storytelling.” – Sylvia Cervantes Blush, PlayGround-LA

“I’m a PlayGrounder because I believe in new works, and new voices.” – Jomar Tagatac, PlayGround

“I’m a PlayGrounder because it’s given me the opportunity to collaborate with other artists on experimental and unique stories.” – Nikhaar Kishnani, PlayGround-NY

“I’m a PlayGrounder because I really love the opportunity to get to be in such a creative space with other passionate theatre artists, and to have the opportunity to consistently play almost every month, and get to share my, and experience others’, processes. It’s great to just have that extended artistic family to come back to!” – Dakota Pariset, PlayGround-Chicago

The best way to support working artists is through the Monday Night PlayGround Membership. Your gift of $100 directly funds the hire of 2 local artists in a Monday Night PlayGround show, and grants you access to a full season of live and extended on-demand performances of Monday Night PlayGround through our exclusive members digital library, plus priority seating reservations when you choose to attend in-person. Memberships are fully tax-deductible with payment plans available.

No gift is too small (or too large!)… whether $10, $100, or $1,000, your contribution directly supports our efforts to uplift the country’s best new storytellers and their artistic collaborators. And you will be helping us continue to provide free admission to all of our programs and facilitating a more accessible theatre community for all audiences.

This #GivingTuesday, I hope you will consider joining the Monday Night PlayGround Membership or making a personally meaningful contribution to our year-end campaign. In doing so, your support makes it possible for us to support the hundreds of local writers, actors, and directors we’ll engage in PlayGround programs this season.

We are so grateful for your continued support of PlayGround’s diverse community of artists, and for supporting our commitment to developing a more equitable and welcoming theatre landscape for all!

Wishing you all the best for the Holiday Season!
