Michael Adams’ one act called ONLY ESSENTIALS is going to be part of the Raze the Space Festival on October 20 at 2:00 at the Central Library’s Mark Taper Auditorium. His one act HAPPY MERRY has been selected for the Tehachipi Community Theatre’s annual Playwright’s Festival, which runs Nov 29-Dec 15.
Diana Burbano’s GHOSTS OF BOGOTA won the NuVoices Festival at Actors Theatre of Charlotte. She is also currently appearing in American Mariachi at South Coast Rep.
Allie Costa‘s critically-acclaimed play TWO GIRLS was published! Anyone interested in producing the piece may contact Allie directly. HUMAN RESOURCES, a film Allie appears in, will be screened at the Salem Horror Fest in October. Allie’s spooky script SAFE DISTANCE was selected for Benchmark Theatre’s Fever Dream Festival and will have a staged reading October 25th in Colorado. For more info on these and other projects.

The feature film from former Playground LA playwright, Andrew Crabtree, entitled INHERIT THE VIPER (starring Josh Hartnett, Bruce Dern, and Margarita Levieva) is having its World Premiere at the Zurich Film Festival next week.
Elayne Heilveil has written and directed the play NIGHTY NIGHT which is included in Theatre West’s Westfest on Cahuenga Blvd. Oct. 18, 19, and 2pm Sunday matinee the 20th. A monologue from the play appears in THE ANTHOLOGY OF BEST WOMEN’S MONOLOGUES OF 2019.
Dan Hirsch’s screenplay , SHEEPISH, is a Second Rounder in the Austin Film Festival.
Starina Johnson‘s play, VICE will be performed as part of Above the Curve Theatre’s Sticky Floor Stories: A Collection of One-Acts!
Jonathan Josephson’s THIS HUNGRY CHURCHYARD just won the Judges Award at Short+Sweet Hollywood! The play also will be produced at Short + Sweet Dublin later this month and has been shortlisted for Short + Sweet Manilla in 2020. On October 5th, his short play BEAR COPS will be included at the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights New Play Festival in West Hollywood, and on October 19, Unbound Productions will present WICKED LIT X8: A Fundraiser for Unbound Productions which will feature excerpts of three of his Wicked Lit adaptations.
Kurt Sanchez Kanazawa will soon be seen as “Blake”, an infuriated passenger, on an upcoming Facebook Watch series, “Airport Security Squad”, a workplace comedy by Anwar Jibawi (5m YouTube subscribers), Guest Starring opposite Mia Serafino (NBC’s Crowded)
The short film, CRAVING GREATNESS, written, produced by and starring Stephanie T. Keefer premieres at Boston’s Screaming Ostrich Film Festival in October.
Jully Lee is in the production of AUBERGINE by Julia Cho, directed by Lisa Peterson at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa through October 16.

Emily Brauer Roger’s full-length play, THE PAPER HANGERS, will have a reading in Dublin at About Face Ireland’s Newvember New Play Festival on Nov. 1st.
Mercedes Segesvary is excited to be one of five playwrights included in The Vagrancy 2020 Writers Group: Blossoming. She is developing a brand new full length play titled, THE LAST ONE, the story of Kranbary, a woman who notices that people everywhere are losing their memories and becoming life coaches. This sudden mass consciousness shift leads her on an adventure to find the source of the movement: Before it’s too late to remember everything that made her the person she is today. This nine-month development will culminate with a public reading at the Lyric Hyperion Theatre Cafe in Los Angeles.
Jennie Webb is very grateful to have her play BRAND NEW SCRIPT included in La Jolla Playhouse’s Without Walls Festival in October as part of Bindspot Collective’s HALL PASS. She’s also proud to have a piece included in 45’s 24, a Protest Plays Project Theatre Action, a collection of monologues available online inspired by the 24 women who have stepped forward with sexual abuse/improper conduct allegations against POTUS, and in Climate Change Theatre Action LA: At the Intersection, which will be presented live at LA’s Museum of Natural History on November 9th.
