Desiree York will be directing “IN THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOWS by Katherine Cortez at California State University Fullerton in the Spring of 2020 and anticipates the world premiere of her play “The Puppeteer” at Detroit Repertory Theatre in January 2020.

Tahmus Rounds will appear in the upcoming Unibomber feature “TED K” and no, he wasn’t the unibomber. Yay Playground!

An excerpt of Amanda L. Andrei’s TV pilot, BLEEDING EDGE, will be read at the East West Players Television Pilot Showcase on November 9 from 2-5 PM at East West Players.

Diana Burbano is currently onstage as Marisela in LA RUTA at Artists Rep in Portland. Her play POLICARPA is receiving a stage reading at Boston Arts this fall.

Allie Costa recently wrapped a sci-fi film and finished recording THE BULLY PROBLEM soundtrack. Her critically-acclaimed play TWO GIRLS was produced at Echo Theatre in Dallas. Her spooky script SAFE DISTANCE had staged readings in Colorado and Los Angeles. California Here We Come and Boxes Are Magic, which began at PlayGround-LA, were selected for the Thalia Festival in New York. BOXES ARE MAGIC also appeared on The Ten Show, a new streaming series produced by the Hive Collaborative. This December, the Apprentice Company of the Actor’s Theater of Louisville will workshop and present a staged reading of Daniel Hirsch’s play THE SISYPHI.

Jonathan Josephson’s THIS HUNGRY CHURCHYARD was Shortlisted for Short+Sweet Manila and Short+Sweet Dubai, won a Judge’s Award at Short+Sweet Hollywood, and won the “Best Playwright” Award at Short+Sweet Dublin. He is one of the producers of Moving Arts’ THEATRE AT THE MUSEUM, an immersive theatre festival staged throughout the campus of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (November 16), and his THE GROVE OF RASHOMON will received a staged reading as part of Wicked Lit Staged Readings at A Noise Within (December 15). Jully Lee is in AUBERGINE by Julia Cho at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa playing now through November 16. Use code AubergineSCR for $30 tickets. She is also in the feature film THE ILLEGAL currently making it’s rounds in the film festival circuit. Upcoming screenings are at the Asian World Film Festival on November 10 and Vancouver South Asian Film Festival on November 14. 

Mildred Inez Lewis has a piece in LOVE LETTERS TO THE BLACK MAN which will run next month at Houston’s Midtown Arts Center. /KOM’PLISIT/, her new full length play inspired by the women who kept the Harvey Weinstein machine running, will be read by the Ensemble Studio Theatre-Los Angeles’ Playwrights Unit. 

Krystal Mosley just shot a short film this past spring called THE GATEKEEPER premiering this December! 

Emily Brauer Roger’s  full-length play, THE PAPER HANGERS, will have a reading in Dublin at About Face Ireland’s Newvember New Play Festival on Nov. 1st.

Christina Wren won the Audience Choice Award from Women of Color Filmmakers for her comedy series, HICKSTERS! You can find info and episodes here

Mark Sherstinsky will have his horror radio play NO TREE produced by Shoestring Radio Theatre.   NO TREE will air on the nationally-syndicated radio program in March 2020 and will also broadcast live on KXSF radio (102.5FM) in San Francisco.
