Jennie Webb‘s new full length DEAD PEOPLE’S DISHES will receive a workshop reading at the Road Theatre in North Hollywood on Monday, June 6th at 7:30 pm, directed by Margaret Shigeko Starbuck. And later in June, she’s excited that her one-woman short CARRY ON, directed by Susie Tanner, will be produced as part of Ensemble Studio Theatre/Los Angeles’ “The Early Bird Special” on the 18th & 19th. Allie Costa recently booked the lead role in a new musical plus a film gig and a fun collaborative video. Her play BOXES ARE MAGIC, which began at PlayGround-LA, was recently performed at both Golden Goose Theatre in London and a university in Arkansas. Mildred Inez Lewis has been selected for A DIFFERENT MYTH, a joint project of the American Myth Center and Different Strokes. She will be expanding JUKED, her adaptation of Sophocles’ Electra. The short version of JUKED will be produced by the Towne Street Theatre at A Noise Within’s Noise Now! She is also a finalist for the Wake Forest University/North Carolina Black Repertory Company’s Finding Holy Ground commissions. Her short piece SUITCASES is being produced by Ensemble Studio Theatre-LA in its Early Bird Special.

Evan Baughfman‘s play, INCIDENT AT A JURASSIC PARK! will be be produced May 13th-May 15th in North Hollywood by Force of Nature Productions, as part of their anthology show, “RUSHing Back to the Stage”! Each play is set in a park. Each play is written in a different genre/style. Each play is crafted by a hardworking team of talented artists: playwright, actors, director, and musician. Alexia Jasmene is performing Stand Up at Flapper’s in Burbank! This is her second stand up show since returning to comedy a successful show at The Pack Theatre and having a feature in an LA Times article!
