Teri Blackand Break A Leg Productions are holding their annual Love Festival live and in-person for the first time. They are showcasing six new works by 6 talented playwrights – 4 from locally in NYC and 2 from California, including PlayGround-LA’s Joni Ravenna. All the plays are directed by Valerie Adami Juhlin with a cast of talented local actors.
Evan Baughfman‘s play, NINE IS ENOUGH–written for PlayGround’s 10th season prompt “Rebirth”–will be published in the February 2023 issue of “Night Picnic” literary journal. Learn more here.
Allie Costa recently played lead roles in developmental readings of two new musicals. The world premiere of her play PIECE OF CAKE is currently running at Barrington Stage Company’s 10×10 New Play Festival. Her critically acclaimed piece TWO GIRLS was produced by Bluebird Broadcast, available wherever you listen to podcasts. Allie has recurring roles on both THE KIT BULL STORY and RODRIGUEZ & SON, both streaming whenever you listen to podcasts. Uma Incrocci‘s short play A HOT BRICK – from the Playground prompt “suffrage” – was performed in Adelaide, Australia at the Red Phoenix Theatre.
Mildred Inez Lewis‘s short comedy BONWIT TELLER’S REVENGE will be produced by the Actors Ensemble of Berkeley. She’s looking forward to collaborating with Ohlone College students on new work.
Misao McGregor has recently been admitted to the Bread Loaf School of English through Middlebury College. They will begin their MA track this June with a concentration in Playwriting.
Lina Patel is thrilled to be part of Ammunition Theatre’s 2023 Playwright’s Lab run by Bernardo Cubria!
Christina Wren is currently recurring as Caroline in the new ABC Series, Will Trent, is the voice of a Citibank campaign and squirreling away writing her dystopian drama series. Learn more here.
