Esther Banegas Gatica‘s play DNA YOU AND ME BECOMING WE INC. first created in the Monday Night PlayGround-LA series, will be playing at the Frida Kahlo 10-minute play festival part three. All weekends from April 10 – May 3, 2026. Fridays & Saturdays at 8 P.M. & Sundays at 6 P.M. All Ten 10 Minute Plays written, directed, and acted by emerging Latinx theater makers. Allie Costa appears in the animated film Blooky: The Book Who Wanted to Be Read, which is nominated for the College Television Awards (the Student Emmys) and will have its world premiere at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in April. Her play ON HER OWN TERMS, which began at PlayGround-LA, was selected for the Lamoise New Works Festival and had a reading at Moxie Theatre in San Diego. Jonathan Josephson will share an except of his novella “The Monster is Conufused” as a part of Rogue Artist Ensembles’s Potery and Prose at the Valley Relic Museum on April 8. His short comedy “Dark Druids and Their Dark Jars” will have a two-week run as a part of “Nightshade: Vernal” at Memoriam Development at Side Street Studio Arts in Elgin, IL (April 17-25). Mildred Inez Lewis. After Passage, a one act, will be published in the new literary journal The Rebel’s Zeitgeist (Coppin State University). It will be produced by Distress Signals at LA’s Inner-City Arts in May.
Rachel Borders‘ new play THE INCIDENT is having a reading as part of the PlayLA Festival at the Greenway Court Theatre in West Hollywood. Tickets are FREE! Saturday, April 4th at 11 am. The festival has a bunch of free programming in general so check it out! Click HERE for more information.
