Jully Lee is the artistic director of COLD TOFU, the nation’s first and longest running Asian American improv company, and a producing director with Playground-LA. She is currently directing WHERE I’M FROM by Howard Ho for CTG’s “Community Stories” digital series and directing a workshop with The Vagrancy as part of their Blossoming series on a new play by M.J. Kang (also a member of Playground-LA). An Ovation-nominated actor, she will perform in Jane Austen UNSCRIPTED (April 26- May 8) with Impro Theatre at The Garry Marshall Theatre, and will also be making her Broadway debut in KPOP THE MUSICAL this Fall. Allie Costa just wrapped post-production on a film role and is preparing for her next gig. She recently sang at the Renaissance cabaret and performed at the Vault Festival. Her play The Intervention Will Be Televised was part of the Atlantic Acting School Conservatory One-Act Festival. Uma Incrocci‘s plays A NEW GEORGE and BASTA LA PASTA were performed at the Atlantic Acting School’s Conservatory One-Act Festival.
On April 1st, Evan Baughfman‘s play, TREE HUGS, received its NYC-premiere reading at The Barrow Group’s First Fridays event. On April 12th, Evan’s ocean-set story, TERRIBLE AND TRUE, will be featured on Kelp Journal’s blog, “The Wave”, which you can view here.
Mark Sherstinsky’s short dark comedy, THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE (originally staged at Monday Night PlayGround-LA) will be performed by Strange Rx at the Shelton Theatre in San Francisco on April 15 & 16, as part of the Your Worst Nightmare Play Festival. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
Krystal Mosley will be playing “Mayme” in the production of INTIMATE APPAREL by Lynn Nottage with Palmbeach Dramaworks running April 1-April 17th. Tickets are on sale here. She will also be shooting in the upcoming short film “172-push-ups” with Playground-LA company members, as well as returning to the “Young and the Restless” as “Crystal” on CBS.
