Shoshanna Green is pleased to announce the season is underway at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum! Shoshanna is cast in both A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Winter’s Tale. If you’ve never been to Theatricum, it is a pretty special place. There are gardens where you can explore and picnic before the show, and the outdoor mainstage is one of the most unique performance venues in Los Angeles. More info here.
Mildred Inez Lewis play We Jump Broom which began at PlayGround, will be produced again by Towne Street Theatre. An interview with From Page to Stage magazine which published Louisiana Shoal will be released this month. A feature interview will appear in Canvas Magazine.
Ambassador and company member Ivan Rivas recently directed a reading of PlayGround Board Member Diana Burbano’s play SAPIENCE at Rogue Machine Theatre. The cast included PlayGround L.A. actors Christian Haines and Gabi Mayorga.
Allie Costa recently appeared in three films that are now in post-production. Her play Boxes Are Magic, which started at PlayGround-LA, will be at The Glitch in London on June 9th. Wolves Change Rivers, which also started at PlayGround-LA, had a staged reading at Roustabouts Theatre’s Celebration of New Writers. Damian Alejandro Arteaga will be playing the role of Touchstone in the Courtyard Shakespeare Festival production of As You Like It. The show dates are June 15th, 19th, 21st, and 28th. Tickets available here.
Jonathan Josephson‘s 10-minute marshmallow comedy Chubby Bunny will have its 25th and 26th production at Tivy Theatre (Kerrville, TX) and Redmond High School (Redmond, OR). His short drama Phone Friend was just produced at Etcetera Theatre in London, production #9, and is slated for another production in South Carolina later this summer. More at jonathanjosephson.com

Jon Gentry’s solo show BLACK BASTARD will appear in Hollywood Fringe. Written and performed by Gentry, BLACK BASTARD heartfelt solo performance set in 1990s Houston. Playing over ten characters, Gentry explores themes of identity, masculinity, and self-discovery through a coming-of-age tale filled with nostalgic references and artful techniques. Learn more here.
Scarlett Redmond is performing in Hedda Gabler at the Hollywood Fringe Festival starting June 8th.
