Aaron Higareda‘s farce “You don’t even speak Spanish!” will have a staged reading at Frida Kahlo Theatre (2332 4th St, Los Angeles, CA 90057) on April 15th at 4pm. This event is free! About the Play: You don’t even speak Spanish! is a Chicano Farce that centers around Jorge Ramirez, a first generation college student who falls in love with an FBI spy from his UCLA Aztec Dancing class. Agent Orange/Felicia convinces Jorge to blow up Dodger stadium for retribution for kicking Jorge’s great grandpa out of the Chavez Ravine, but the only thing scarier than America’s “Deep State” is Jorge’s Mom, Maggy and her wooden spoon! Mason Greer just recently finished shooting a role in a new western movie. He also recently finished directing an animated commercial for a new phone app (more details TBD). Starting in early April Mason will be voice directing for another Netflix series and will begin principal photography directing a new short film in late May. More information here.

Allie Costa recently booked a workshop of a new musical and an audio drama and is looking forward to both! Rise Up, which began at PlayGround-LA, will be performed at The Hope Theatre in London on April 2nd and April 3rd. Her play Piece of Cake had its world premiere production at Barrington Stage Company and her plays Two Girls and Cut and Run were performed in Alabama. Learn more here and here.

On April 7th, D&T Publishing will release Evan Baughfman‘s first full-length novel, BAD FOR YOUR TEETH. A scary story for horror fans young and old! This one is in the “dental horror” subgenre, and it contains a multitude of humor, suspense, and surprise! Available for pre-order NOW here.

Mildred Inez Lewis has joined The Road Theatre’s fourth season of Under Construction to write a new full-length play. Her TV dramedy I-CLASS received a staged reading from First Fifteen. ROOST FIRST, THEN FLY, written for PlayGround, is being produced by Edgewood College in Madison, WI.

Christina Wren is back as Caroline in Episode 10 of the ABC series Will Trent. You can also hear her voice narrating The Happiness Makeover on audible or wherever you get your audiobooks.

Carla Vega booked a recurring role on Amazon’s upcoming “Cross” series by Ben Watkins, currently shooting in Toronto, and was nominated for “Best Audiobook” 2023 by ITW for narrating the hit thriller, “Things We Do in the Dark” by Jennifer Hillier.
